Former Mumbai Police Commissioner Hasan Gafoor has claimed that senior security officials dithered from responding to the situation when the 26/11 attack happened.
In an interview to a weekly magazine, Gafoor said that a section of senior police officers refused to be on the ground to take on the terrorists. They chose to ignore the need of the hour, he added.
Gafoor himself had received a lot of flak from the Ram Pradhan Committee, which probed response of security agencies during the 26/11 attack, and was shifted to Maharashtra Police Housing Corporation.
Two Pakistani nationals suspected of being involved in the Mumbai terror attacks have been arrested in Italy. They were arrested in the northern city of Brescia in Italy, Britain's 'Sky News' reported on Saturday.The men are believed to have provided logistical support for last year's terror attacks in Mumbai.
Police sources claim the pair used a money transfer agency they managed to send funds for the attacks. The money was used to pay for an internet phone account used by people in contact with the attackers, according to reports.
